Social Styles & Versatility
Linklab is an authorized distributor in Italy of training programmes in the SOCIAL STYLES Model
Developed by TRACOM Group, the SOCIAL STYLES Model draws on 50 years of research and is currently used by millions of people worldwide in business, government and academic circles. The TRACOM training offered by Linklab encourages development of interpersonal effectiveness to improve individual and company productivity.
Discovering one’s SOCIAL STYLE PROFILE (AMIABLE, ANALYTICAL, EXPRESSIVE OR DRIVING) through individual and multi-rater questionnaires developed by TRACOM is the first step in understanding how others view and interpret one’s own behaviour.
The next step is recognising the PROFILE of others, understanding the mechanisms that trigger situations of TENSION and learning to manage them.
The goal is development of VERSATILITY, or interpersonal effectiveness – the ability to interact with others and gain their support, respect and trust.
What makes the SOCIAL STYLES model unique and above all effective?
The key word is BEHAVIOUR. The SOCIAL STYLES Model is not based on the assessment of personality (see Myers-Briggs), but focuses on the observation and decoding of Observable Behaviours, in other words the way people Think, Act and React.
The SOCIAL STYLES Model helps us to learn to look at ourselves through others’ eyes, changing the way we act in order to take account of the needs and expectations of those around us.
The result is an immediate and clear improvement of interpersonal relationships.
The SOCIAL STYLES Model shows that each of the four SOCIAL STYLES has positive and negative aspects. But because it is based on observable behaviours, a little practice makes it possible to quickly recognise the preferences and needs of others and to sense attitudes that can put them at ease and make interaction easier.
This ability to adapt one’s behaviour is termed VERSATILITY in the TRACOM model. The training allows you to recognise your level of VERSATILITY and understand the strengths and weaknesses of your interaction with others. The next step is to discover the specific techniques that can improve VERSATILITY for each SOCIAL STYLE.
